I can upgrade one thing on my pc-build, what should it be

Hye erveryone,

I saved a good 600$ and I can upgrade 1 thing on my pc (or multiple).
What should I do ?

While it does depend on what you do with your computer on a daily basis, graphics card. You have an i7 with 16GB of Ram. Also, you could possibly get more storage. Personally I'm a bit over kill myself with storage.

But, a GTX 1060 could be replaced with a nice RTX 2070S for I believe around 500$. Which would give you potentially a over 75% boost in graphical fidelity in games. You may also wait it out and wait until next year, where Nvidia will release the next gen of cards, the 3000 series. It's another "potentially" thing, but, pretty sure they're doing it.

Not sure if you have a NVME or not, or even a motherboard which supports it, but, that also gives a serious boost in performance..file transfer wise.

that would only really be noticeable if he transfers really big files on a daily basis

imo the upgrade from a 850 evo to the 970 evo nvme was wayyy less noticeable than the switch from HDD to sata SSD
id rather recommend to fully go for sata SSDs rather than a medium sized nvme drive

the most striking thing is the graphics card, as the 3GB version of the 1060 is less powerful than the 6GB one
if the games you play arent that gpu intensive then an upgrade might not yet be worth it

also at what resolution are you playing your games?

Apex Legends
Cod Modern Warfare
Star Wars: Jedi
Dying light
...

My internet is 400 up, about 18 down and when i'm playing apex legends, i sometiemes only have 17fps :/
Is that the graphix card then? Or is it something else

I'd take the upgrade, as mentioned previously, jumping from a 1060 to a 2070 made a huge difference. I would definitely take a graphics card upgrade. And yes I do believe the issue is your graphics card.

depending on the resolution of your monitor and the graphics settings it most likely is your graphics card, you can easily spot that if you open the task manager when gaming and check utilisation

if your gpu is at max while the cpu isnt maxed then you know a graphics card upgrade is due

just keep in mind that depending on what gpu you buy it might put the limiting factor on the cpu now

I'd say updating your GPU. CPU isn't to outdated at all. I have a GTX 1060 myself and plan on upgrading soon. I really need to upgrade my CPU though..... i5

i think SSD is one of the best upgrades for PC

I would buy an rtx 2070 and save any extra unused funds to go towards a new or another nvme SSD if the motherboard supports it, or a regular sata ssd if no nvme support is available .
