VPN

I see to become a Seller, members are barred from using VPN services when placing a thread, but Scammers are allowed to surf freely using VPN whilst targeting WTB members by contacting em through IM. So after someone gets banned, what's to stop them creating a new account and rescamming all over again? Are we allowed to also register on MPGH using VPN or must we also register from a personal IP address?

From what I've witnessed so far, members are targeting vulnerable new registrants clueless to how this site operates and knowingly are able to reregister over and over again.


IMPERSONATION

The IM rule system as first point of communication is flawed, as members names should link back to their profile, so its easier to determine if they are the person in question.

Upon placing my first WTB topic, I was contacted by 6 relatively new members claiming they had goods to sell me. My first contact scammed me after paying and ceased to respond but the second contact, Kuntatlest`(now banned for impersonating) sent me review links from his/her real persona and totally insisted he/she was the real deal. Had it not been for me being scammed prior then noticing a minute dash at the end of Kuntaltest`s name after having to manually search for their profiles, I likely would've fallen victim again. By then I was fairly clued in and the other 4 contacts quickly bailed and deleted our IMs when questioned for a profile link.

So is this the norm around here? Dog eat Dog, Scammers get scammed.
