Is there really no UK currier that collects payment on delivery?

Hey, so I am getting offers for my stuff but I dont get how are you supposed to actually sell them safely (except using sites like Depop that take an insane 13% tax).
Like back in my country it was simple, buyer contacts me, we agree on a price, he gives me the delivery info, I deliver it, the product arrives to him, he inspects it, pays the currier and everyone is happy without having to make someone pay first or send the product first.

What am I asking, Uk sellers, how do you sell your stuff safely? Do you guys know any currier service that collects payment on delivery? Or you guys just sell on Depop/Ebay and pay the tax?

never heard of this pay on delivery stuff until the other day, its not a thing in the UK as far as i know. but is in europe like NL and such.

I'd just sell on Ebay, maybe do what I do and wait till theres a £1 sellers fee day then sell everything

Yeah its just insane that there is no such thing in UK, it would make everything so much more simpler for the small time seller
