Placements changes: The rank you will see after your first ranked game is...

Placements were changed last year.
During placement games the rank you'll be attributed after your first placement games is the worst rank possible you can get. (AKA if you lose all 9 other placement games).

Losing games during placement will not result in LP loss.

Winning games during placement will get you a lot more LP than usual.

You will automatically skip promo series in placement.

Until placement are over you're the only one able to see your own rank.

Well this is just shite, wish they would bring back old placements, they litterally doing the same thing with alot of complaints like last season but adding some more LP per win.

I actually like the new system better, so every player is sent back to a lower rank depending on how he is playing. Because if a player is good, he can grind in no time.
No one wants a hard stuck Gold player getting a higher rank than he currently is.

The only problem with the current system is that it takes longer for smurfs to reach high ranks. It's really hard to get a starting rank of gold 4 even if you clap low elos when before you could go 10-0 and start out at plat. Your MMR still ends up being high so you can be silver and be playing against plats. Other than that I don't care since rank is just visual and mmr is what matters.

Placements don't really impact your MMR all that much they're mostly for the visual rank. This is why we have ex-challengers in mid dia but they're not playing against bad players.

Highest rank you can be thrown in is P1, no matter what was your previous rank.
I played one game only out of 9 (no time) and they put me P4, which is fine by me.
