I been looking at the cruise industry and also the US gas industry. 5k in cruises and 5k in gas

If you're picking a stock in this current situation, the best thing to do is make sure you invest in a solid company.

I would be weary of investing in recovery stocks. This meaning companies that were hit hard during covid (airlines/oil/retail). Yes you can buy them for cheap right now but if we have another wave of corona will these companies survive to tell the tale? They are already hurting because their earnings were slashed. Think a vaccine will solve everything? Reality is even if a vaccine makes its way out, people are too afraid to take it immediately. May be a years time before people are comfortable taking a vaccine. One case of a person reacting negatively to a vaccine is all it takes to create mass scare.

My key point is look at companies that have been growing during the pandemic and have simply had a pullback due to elections/lack of stimulus. These are the companies that will come out stronger if news of stimulus and those that won't falter as hard if corona sweeps us again.
