[HOWTO] open multiple Exalt Clients

hi Folks,
Not really a release, but maybe useful for people who want to handle multiple mules/clients on one PC.

On Windows, you need to create separate windows user accounts for each additional client you want to open.
Make sure that the user is just in the "users" group, and not in the administrators group - else it will not work as the exalt launcher will try to list all processes which are currently running. Since one User cannot see the process list of the second user, it will not notice that there is an instance already running.

Additional Info: When launching the game (not the launcher), the game is executed through the following path:
"C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents/RealmOfTheMadGod/Production/RotMG Exalt.exe"
with the follwoing parameters:
"data:{platformeca,password:TOPSECRETPW,guid:TOPSECRETGUID,env:4} "

So, if you are able to generate a GUID and use it#s password, you can launch the game without the launcher.


Anyway, abck to the topic:
- Add multiple users to your windows users (I use right-click on computer -> manage -> local users and computers -> Users
Make sure you set a passwordf and umark the "user must change the password at first login".
- Switch to your exalt launcher directory.
- while holding shift on the keyboard, right-click on the launcher executable and select "run as different user"
- input the user infos that you used when you created those windows accounts.
- ...?
- profit.

Unfortuantely I can't seem to edit the first post, so here an easier method:

Create a shortcut of your exalt CLIENT (not launcher!), and edit the shortcut.
At the end, the shortcut should be:
"C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents/RealmOfTheMadGod/Production/RotMG Exalt.exe" "data:{{platformeca,password:base64password,guid:base64email,env:4}}".

You can base64 encode your email and PW with some online tools or download a little executable that does the stuff for you.

You could just inject to exalt and call the winapi function GetCommandLine

I just wanted to post a small edit to your instructions, in case anybody else needs help.

I found that you need to remove one set of the curly braces for the argv,argc to be passed correctly. Also, in case it was not clear, the smiley is ":"+"D".

I had a similar question, you can still use this, but in a slightly different way:

If you just want to open multiple clients, may consider to use the tool I made (esp. for that matter):
Exalt Account Manager v1.4
