You need to setup your router as a bridge:

I have a modem which provides me with internet and wifi which is located on the left side of my house. I connect a router via ethernet from my modem to my router to boost wifi signal on the right side of my house.
The issue is, the modem acts like its own network (different username and password) and the router acts like its own network (different username and password).
This means if I am on my phone on the left side of my house (connected to the modem) and move to the right side of my house, I need to connect to my router. How can I make it so it all acts like one network and seemlessly connects me to the router/modem as I move.
This is an issue because my Google Home set up is essentially split into 2

Yeah you need a range extender in bridge mode. High end routers can be configured with bridge mode without needed their bios flashed.
