Dead sub-forum but fuck it.
My institution gives students access to bloomberg financial analytics, which has a ton of super-neat AI friendly data, like, really really neat data. Unfortunately it seems like this was intended for the finance or economic majors or something, because we don't get downloads for old datasets or even an API to reference, just a crappy web ui.
I tried to build a web scrapper for it but it is honestly not easy to scrape and almost intentionally so.
Does anyone have any experience in pulling a bunch of this data for AI training purposes? Don't even want the hot n' fresh stuff, just a method to get a few years of older data would be fine. Sure there are other financial datasets but not as juicy as bloombergs.

Perhaps they are sorry for the cost of a normal site engine, not to mention the interface. You should not be so worried. If you are unsatisfied with this activity, you can just give it up since the work on slow servers - is a living hell. You're talking about how you can't figure out the financial counts and hoping for artificial intelligence to work. But there is an organization that can help you in this matter because it employs financiers who are professionals in this field. They also look at issues like investment services. I think they can help you solve this situation. Good luck.
You should contact your university department to get the most up-to-date information possible. I think they have all the statistics and can help you. In any case, to implement the analysis of your request, you should also find out all the data for the last couple of years. This is primarily about investing in this magazine. But what do you need it for? Suppose it's for personal use, to understand the investment management system. In that case, you can use the help of specialists in this field. I think that this way you will have a better chance to prepare yourself for buying investments.
