What do you think if China develops and passes the clinical trials before everybody else, would you trust them and get vaccinated?

I assume that each country will use the supposedly finished formula and produce the vaccines on site? Even then I don't think I can trust that it will be as promised

Hell no, not with the reputation they've put upon themselves. I would rather them use it themselves first then maybe after a few months with good results it starts getting tested elsewhere.

What kind of approval process would it need to ensure that it properly works, though?

To determine the side-effects and how long the antibodies stay active is essentially the same as redoing phase 3 for creating a vaccine, which is basically monitoring a selected group of people who have been vaccinated, and since I highly doubt people will believe any data provided by China, even if approved by WHO (considering how they covered up the story at the beginning to protect China), I find that vaccines like the one created by Oxford are more likely to be consumed world-wide than one created by an unknown group of scientists in a country that still believes it's at war with the whole world.

Yeah I'm talking basically redoing phase 3. Anything to guarantee to some extent of its safety. And yeah I'd prob take a vaccine from Oxford than China cause of trust issues but I thought the hypothetical was that China comes up with a vaccine and no one else does.

Immune...if you dont die...and which may also be temporary...and there's some bad shit some people get from corona after having it. Permanent lung damage being one of the main ones.

Right on the money, that's what I fear. I heard they already are testing it in the UAE and will most likely monopolize countries in the middle east as well.
Will probably be that third world countries will get the Chinese version, while first worlders get a higher quality one a few weeks later.
