Eh haven't been on the being canceled side so can't really speak on it. Cancel culture is very dependent on context. Sometimes what people say and do taken out of context may get them canceled. Other times, they may be a sexual predator. Cancel culture to me is just another form of the court of public opinion.

I had this guy come into my pc hardware store and ask for a USB-C cable that wasn't "made in China". Upon asking him why it couldn't be from China he said "because China is a piece of shit country" (translated).
He was seriously trying to find a USB cable not made in China?
I basically told him if he doesn't want anything that's made in China, he might as well throw out his laptop or pc and his headphones he was wearing. Possibly at least every tech item he has in his possession...

Witch hunts are fucking stupid, that's what it is. If an innocent gets wronged because of "vigilante justice" the entire herd acts like they did nothing wrong and it was everyone else. Rinse and repeat. As we have seen many and many times over with internet cancel culture. Radicalism is bad. Nothing in this universe is good in extremes.
Say what you want about how bad the justice system is, but at least you get your "fair" day in court before you get cancelled.
