Just wait till you try some Planar headphones
I've always had extremely bass-y headsets which hide a lot of the details in sound. The BeyerDynamic DT 770 250ohm I just got are insane, I literally hear everything.
It was kinda weird at first, didn't really like the way things were sounding and I almost thought it was worse. But once I really started listening to sounds in games, I was blown away cause I can literally hear you flick boogers on your wall. The sounds arent completely covered by bass and I'm actually able to hear properly.
Would recommend everyone to ditch gaming brands and go studio.

THE EYES OF THE DAVESTAPO ARE UPON YOU. ANY WRONG YOU DO WE ARE GONNA SEE, WHEN YOU'RE ON MPGH, LOOK BEHIND YOU, 'CAUSE THATS WHERE WE GONNA BE
Do note that good pairs of studio headphones will have a 'burn-in' period where the drivers have to be broken in. Once they do they start to sound even better, so that may be a little bit of what you were experiencing.
You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.
Its name is Silence..
