Edit: I can relate with Jiu Jitsu a lot. Have done Judo for like 7 years myself. Self defense is hella important, but walking away/avoiding a fight is so key. It was amazing to see his attitutude change. You can really see how happy he became with what they taught them, and I can say that what they did in 3 days is a lot.

Cops should be forced to attend BJJ or some form of martial arts class once a week, as well as deescalation training once a week. Many cops are in the same boat most of these internet wannabe badasses are in. They haven't had another person lay hands on them in months or years, so when they get into a combative situation their awareness narrows down to just the guy talking shit or being combative in front of them, they start to get emotional, and then they act incompetently.

Also schools should just get rid of Football theres plenty of other team building sports, and start implementing more wrestling classes for younger students, as well as BJJ classes. I would advocate for striking classes too but that can be a bit iffy, grappling sports are much better to teach children.
