Nuclear Energy, Firearms, and if we're combining modern Democrats into the mix then protective trade as well. These are all issues where you have leftist who are ignorant of the topic but support something they've been told with little indepth information. The only one of those that are an actual hot topic are guns, and even then majority of democrats and republicans support closing loopholes like the boyfriend loophole and universal background checks.

Now if we talk about these issues on the right, it's blatantly more problematic.

Immigration, global warming, renewable energy, basic economics, social welfare, healthcare and drugs (also problems with modern centrist democrats), gender, terrorism, religion, the list just goes on and on. We point out a borderwall across the entire border is unreasonable and ineffective in what they're attempting to do which is decrease drug smuggling and human trafficking. They respond with "democrats want open borders" yes the same democrats who help build the cages you're currently using right? Majority of drugs are smuggled via imports, majority of physical border crossings are done by asylum seekers to simply get protection by being in the US while their claim pends. Majority of those asylum seekers are coming from places we've fucked with and are terrorized by cartels we fund with drug money. The right wing solution is to build a wall that only addresses the two smallest portions of drug smuggling and human trafficking, as well as the smallest portion of ways illegals end up in the United States. Instead of focusing on visa overstays, businesses like Trumps not being deincentivized to take low wage foreign workers, legalizing drugs and sex work, their solution is a wall... When it comes to global warming you have the same issue, ignorance and blind faith in leadership. You're told this is wrong without understanding how or why, then you're bought into a politician like a football team, so ofc you come onto the internet and say shit like "there are 2 genders", "humans aren't the most contributing factor in the rate at which the globe is warming up", "healthcare is a commodity", "muslims are terrorists".
