Since the beginning of mankind there have been scammers, and there always will be... Anywhere there is money to be made or something to get someone will try and take advantage

Fun fact one of the earliest recorded scams was insurance fraud, in ancient greece 1700 years ago a guy was caught sinking his own (empty) merchant ship. he took the cargo (corn) out to sell later and was going to try and claim the corn was still on board when the boat sank, and get the insurance to replace it.

Imagine accessing your admin dashboard for a multi million dollar drug trading platform through the library wifi in public. Dpr was not the first to invent the dw market persay, just the idea of bitcoin being used with escrow, exit scams are so incredibly common on the dw that this is just a meme at this point, good dw markets are hard to come by nowadays with LE being as active as they are and greed being so common, its actually common to see people or groups of people who setup and run marketplaces for the sole purpose of exiting. Not even about trusted onion links, in most cases the admins are un identifiable and can book it with everyones funds AND IN EVERY CASE THE BIGGEST EXITS WHERE FROM TRUSTED SITES.

Yes, they did... In a more respectable way I might add, as they were being held offline by multiple DDOSers. Thought Empire would last a bit longer, but they all eventually fall. Onto the next!

OT: Free Ross. Sentence was to try and scare other people from creating new DNMs... But after Evo, Agora, Nuc, AB, Dream, Empire, etc... That worked out so well!

From what I hear they were paying a shit ton out to a DDOSer to stop, then another came along and kept them offline. Tor hasn't implemented a Proof-of-Work system to counteract such DDOSing, so to pay another DDOSer wouldn't be worth it and if you can't get your site up might as well just walk away with the coin, right?

Dream will forever go down as the best market IMO. When they shut down, they gave everyone a deadline to withdrawal and left without a problem. Even when they had the potential to steal millions, they still shut down honestly.
