I live in one of the countries here in the middle east and I really feel that it is a religion of peace, you can't generalize based on a brainwashed idiot which knows literally nothing about religion, I'm not religious myself either. Imo even these terrorist organizations are all bullshit, fueled and financed by certain people to cause controversy and destabilization. I condemn anyone who does these actions and I even disagree more with those that do it in the name of a whole nation/religion because its just dumb

Great for you! I live in Canada and the area I grew up in and the school I went to was mostly Somalian and Muslim. They would lie to peoples faces, even while saying wallahi. They say it doesn't matter even if they say wallahi because we're not muslim so it doesn't count. The home invasions, shootings, stabbings, robberies, rapes, random assaults and general distain and disrespect towards anyone who isn't muslim proves how peaceful the average muslim is and what the average muslim is willing to tolerate in the western world. Islam is not a religion of peace, it's a religion of barbarism. Islam is dangerous and harmful for any non-muslim.

Islam isn't peaceful... but people can be peaceful.

A flimsy analogy would be: Nazism isn't bad, Germany was filled with Nazi's in the early 1940's. Only a small percent carried out industrialized genocide. The rest were good people, they loved their family and neighbours, and contributed greatly to society.

Can relate, my close friend is a Muslim is one the most down to earth guys I know. He projects it as a religion of peace and until I met him I thought otherwise

For your first point, a Muslim living in the west is a very different Muslim, these people are unfortunately not nurtured around the true culture that it brings, which causes an identity crisis for them, for example, I know how tough it is for a person coming from a Muslim home to see all of his foreign friends, drinking and smoking having fun while he just sits there and wonders why really creates this infliction in their minds which could lead them to certain actions. Its just the identity crises to me. If you read about the true muslim culture and how arabs live in the middle east (apart from the recent civil wars in the past 10 years), people are really nice, hospitality is crazy good etc. Aka religion affects culture and culture plays its role on us humans.

Islam and any ideology belongs wherever it's upheld by people. Muslims doing stupid shit does not prove islam doesn't belong somewhere. Religion in it's self takes advantage of people with mental illnesses. Religion it's self is the problem, blind faith in things your tribe tells you. Islam like any religion is up to interpretation. You can have a verse saying kill people who don't believe what you believe, and a billion people with interpret that differently among different denominations. You even have outright rejection of parts of religious scriptures while upholding of others simply to fit modern societal norms.

Religion is embraces ignorance and exacerbates irrationality.

Edit: you don't correct human behavior by banning ideology or beliefs. You do so by educating children on their own and others psychology, human behavior, cognitive biases, etc... knowing how to think is better than knowing what to think.
