Exodus noob friendly but fee can be high, btc core if you have couple years to download all transactions
But electrum the best choice, can choose segwit wallet, can choose fees and many other things!
Blockchain, Exodus are two good options.

Blockchain is the most reliable and longest lasting one I believe, if you're planning on exchanging currencies or selling them i suggest 'coinbase' too.. though their support is horrendous sometimes.
Good luck.
I've used local bitcoins to buy and send and fees are reasonable and easy to use.
I use wasabi for my BTC, but I'm looking for a good desktop wallet for other cryptos such as ETH and LINK, anyone got any suggestions?
Electrum is probably the most simplistic along with feature rich

Coinomi, you can create new wallets easily then receive/send whenever you want
Just for btc I feel like nothing beats Electrum for a desktop wallet

Crypto.com Defi wallet is pretty good. With mainet coming out next month, it'll be a game changer!
