so your motherboard chipset is LGA1150
You can upgrade to: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007671%20600436886
Find a used deal though. The Brand new prices are crazy.
Heya guys, looking for some advice. I am looking to upgrade my CPU, however I have quite an old motherboard, so I was wondering how do I find out what my motherboard can support in terms of CPU before I have to replace it?
I'm only asking, as I don't want to replace RAM with new motherboard.
My current motherboard is "ASRock H87 Performance" that is what it says when I get info up.
My current cpu is Intel I5-4670 CPU @ 3.40Ghz.
My gpu is a gtx 1080 if that matters.

i7-4790k was/is a beast. It's an oc'able CPU if you want to get even more juice out of it. If you don't like oc'ing, maybe the 4770 (non-k).
I'm curious tho as why you don't wanna upgrade cpu-mem-mobo all together to the newer gens.
