Aight I hope you were making a shitty joke bro cause this is rude af. Better ways to have criticism than insulting someone's effort. Honestly not even a valid criticism, you didn't even say what you disliked about it, just da lowkey said it looks like shit but tried using less offensive words lol, kinda cowardly tbh. If you're gonna talk shit at least be upfront about it instead of being a pussy lmao. Hopefully I'm not being sensitive but you can do better bro.

Nothing wrong with speaking your mind, but its how you articulate your criticism. Look at Austin's post, genuine criticism. You can criticize someone's work, but you shouldn't criticize their efforts. If you're gonna say you dislike it at least say it with your chest instead of pussy footing things lmao, just makes you look like a lil bitch. You don't eat someone's food and say "Are you kidding me this tastes like dogshit why did you even try? I respect the efforts though" like tf kind of response is that? Say its too bland or something. It's like you say things while almost saying nothing at all. I'll take back some of the things I said if he was one of the people working on it and he was making a shitty joke but I don't know the context of his post. What I don't like about is that it took away the avatar space and usertitles. That's very iconic of MPGH, like others said, it looks like a mobile version of things instead of a desktop site. A lot of things look small and has empty space, should use that space to have a unique feel to things instead of making it look like a mobile site.

Couple things I thought about.
1.) People don't like change so any change is bad accordin to many people. Phasing it out will work better imo
2.) As @Austin said, the minimilist look is very cool; however, you also need a identity or a brand
3.) People need to keep in mind that GFX is not a employee that mpgh hired and they are volunteer. They don't dedicate hours and cordinate like a paid team with big resource.
4.) I like it but what things will the new style have vs lose?
Can you do a pro vs con of new vs old??

It looks simple and clean, but I will always have a place for "Old MPGH" in my heart.

BRING BACK BT, BRING BACK SAGA, BRING BACK VF, BRING BACK MPGHCRAFT, BRING BACK HABAMON
This theme looks older than the current one, so bad it has shiny buttons and bars. This should be released in 2007/08
Making it flat would be nice

Simple is good in some ways.
Like what others mentioned, this does give off the vibe that it is designed for mobile/tablet.
And you know what...if you were to use this design for that purpose, I think it would be acceptable.
However, it lacks a bit of branding and does look rather generic.
I think one of the reasons why I, or some long-time members come back to the website is the nostalgia.
Most of us, if not all joined at a young age. We have witnessed the many changes that happened onto the site, whether it be the content, theme, or plugins.
It is important to identify what MPGH is and what makes it different than other websites.
It might very well be that you change the theme completely, but if you keep the little bits here and there, it might turn out well.
Take the feedback from others, but don't be discouraged by some of the criticism.
I wouldn't worry so much because it isn't the design of the theme of the website that makes it great, but rather the community it beholds.

It's cool that there is going to be software update but I think it looks kinda too messy, current one looks cleaner.
If I am the one to be asked, since I do design too, I would just update a header, footer and small details, not a whole new theme.
There is a lot of stuff that makes MPGH different than other forums, and with that whole design it kinda looks like any other average forum.

You have to look at it from a different perspective. When you've been promised stuff like this for over a year and are finally showed what is to come and it looks like some plain forum template you'd be mad. We've been waiting on a more structured and reliable communication platform for how long now? People are irritated and annoyed especially those who may have spent their own money on these projects.
Not sure why you're agreeing to disagree. Both of our perspectives can coexist, you can dislike something without coming off rude AF but to each their own. I'm not really an emotional person so I can't empathize with you. You can dislike certain aspects of someone's work and at the same time not shit on the effort they put into that work. There's a distinction but I guess emotions can make one tunnel visioned. Like I said... if you're gonna insult someone's work at least be man enough to say it with your chest and not backpedaling after you've done it haha. I just don't like it when people are flippey floppey inney outey uppey downey wishey washey.
