Researching upon some legal aspects of refunding, I stumbled upon this: https://news.cardnotpresen*****m/news...friendly-fraud
The level of accuracy is baffling and it seems they are targeting the refunding services that are openly available on the internet to look for the Store List and the limits. Articles such as this might be the reason why a lot of stores are dying out.
Anyway, I just felt like sharing it. Please do give it a read if you have a service of your own. I guess it is better if we keep our store-lists private and only advertise those stores which have been around for a while.
In the apocalypse, a rolex watch wouldn't get you food.

swim does not think refunding will dry up until they implement a system similar to returns as in if you have too many returns at store A then store B will denie your return becuase even though they are different companys store A and B are part of a retail federation that has a policy and probably will log all refunds .

I agree, having such informations visible to literally anyone that can find it is a risk and possible damage for the service provider/user. Keep it private

I definitely agree to this keep your stores private.
They will most likely just patch stores new ones pop up every day there’s thousands of stores and your business can be made off of one just like that and for some extremely big companies they aren’t losing much so they wont notice for a while.
Only go after the big corp!
Small business will always pursuit legal action even if it $1k because it's profit loss on their end and its hard to make money
Big Corp don't mind losing a few thousands on their branded products because they can easily make for $10 and sell it at $1399.
I mean upon reading the article it misses so many aspects of refunding. It merely covers general "exploits" in human interaction. In addition, the methods used in some of these refunds do happen at times and it is unavoidable. It is just like US citizens buying guns, you won't know who will use that gun to commit crime until it already happened. It is impossible to track suspicious activities without rigorous training of the customer service, which is in itself flawed as the amount of training surpasses lost item value. The only dependable resolution would be the improvement in catering services like USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Which is in itself unreal due to the lack of cheap labor or an automatic delivery system.
The latter point will kill most refunding if not all of it, just like Amazon almost killed amazon DNA refund after they introduced amazon catering service; I reckon they can kill amazon ftid as well if they introduce dedicated drop-offlocations.
