I mean it's based in the SARS Vaccine that has been in the making for almost a decade, had billilns in funding, a worldwide focus and top priority, plus a test capacity that is bigger than other vaccines. It's not something they just came up with in 8 months.

This vaccine passed all the requirements a normal vaccine would undergo. Nothing was "rushed" in its testing. The only difference is that the trial stages happened simultaneously instead of one after the other. Usually the number of trials increases progressively, but the government backed the cost liability for results and they ran all the trials at the same time.

If you've ever gotten a vaccine before, the current approved COVID vaccines passed the same tests.

It is also to be noted that vaccines often take years for approval because of bureaucratic delays, but with it being a top priority you would expect nothing less.

mRNA is showing promise to be a highly effective way to treat viruses. Although it is the first of its kind, as others have said, the research on SARS is not and has been carried out before, which is why we also had a reactive response to the virus and knew how to deal with it.

Your body is merely being handed a blueprint of what protein to create, and once that protein is created, the body identifies it as foreign and fights against it, creating antibodies. How long do these antibodies last? Only time can tell, but there is little room for error here, because the vaccine is not created from scratch and the formula is used in others vaccines you probably already had.
