petition to lower the post requirement

It's set to serve it's purpose though some members really will spam. Other forums even have 25 forum posts requirement to able to have a member status.
If you really love to stay on the forum, engage in conversations with sense, 15 posts is just really low.

The hard truth is if there's any post requirement to reach member status, new users will spam/post to reach that.

10 posts is already very low.

how low do you think it should be, do you think the if the post requirement were 5 you wouldnt see new members in 5 different threads at once? do you think that if it was lower it could encourage that type of behavior even more because it would be even more apparent that doing so would be an easy way to get the post requirement out of the way?

The only reason we have the 15 post requirement is because of PM spammers. PM spammers are too lazy to accumulate 15 posts as are normal users thus the problem. Once PM and IM are one system intergraded into the forum upgrade I don't foresee this being a requirement or problem.

Using you as an example, your account has been here since 2018..
So in lets say 2 years (you joined dec 2018 and it is jan 2021) you've only posted 6 times? 6? C'mon.

Current post count requirement seems fine. Also it encourages new people to stay in MPGH and become part of it... like you know... be active and become a potential contributor?
