One of my friends got hacked on steam even though he had steam guard any ideas how?

Hello everyone my friends got hacked on steam and I was wondering if anyone knew how this was possible.

Same happened to my friend. He also had Steam guard on Phone yet hacker bypass it and stole all his CSGO inventory and he had very expensive items. He found out it was someone cheap asshole from Russia according to the logs and IP. Customer support was awful, they didn't provide any support even tho their security system (Steam guard) failed to protect my friend from attack.

4.blackmail him to put money on the steam account and send account back

I'm assuming if they could sign into his steam account they maybe had something like a keylogger as well, so they might have had access to your friends email. From there they could probably use steam on their own phone to log in to their account. Keep bugging support about it, but chances are they'll just say it's his fault and theres nothing they can do.

Its a known problem with Steams API. Has happened to a couple of my friends. They didn't do anything but somehow their accounts get hacked. Search it up

This has happened to me but a while ago. I had every single security measure on possible including the steam app on my phone. Has also happened to many other people I knew, thankfully nothing was took or changed from my account.
