MPGH Verified Seller

Hi everyone,

As some of you might know we're working on upgrading MPGH and its forum software, among other things. With this upcoming change in mind, we're planning on introducing a verified seller status. For this, you would have to provide your identification and verify yourself. We may require other personal details as well, the requirements are subject to change.

These details will be stored securely, not publicly accessible by anyone. Once you are verified, you will receive some kind of verified status with a check mark or something similar on your username and/or threads. Opting into this will be completely free.

Just looking to see how many people would be interested to opt into this kind of verification in the future.

I think it can be good for sellers and help the marketplace with buyers and sellers. However, I also feel the verification check could be abused.

The plan, for now, is to require 2 pieces of identification and 2 selfies. They should include some predetermined text, be taken in a certain pose, and also show your MPGH profile logged in.

Doesn't have to be all in one picture.

The best move to make the marketplace almost scam-free. I am very excited to make myself verified once it's available.
But you know, you can fake selfies, best is to add 1 short video too.

from one side its looks good,but when i use such websites and have grey zone of working i dont want to provide my legal information to anyone. how can you ask me for that, but am legit and scam free

I like the idea, but since we sellers sell lots of illegal services here. (cracked accounts/se/refunds)

can MPGH 100% guarantee that they will not disclose any kind of information of the seller to police?
what if they force or threaten MPGH to provide the information of the seller? what will MPGH do?

Truth to be told its really good idea tho for legit seller not cracked refunders SE
pretty risky since work its self is not legal and have high risk depending on country you live.

tho for legit seller like designer / personal item sellers /Service seller like coders or anything that dose not invole something illegal

Instead of having to verify identity on a forum with grey to black hat activities I would prefer the badge to indicate some type of insurance policy where if somebody is scammed they can take from. Obviously, most people in my area will not verify. Nor would having somebodies identity help with scammers as the chances of something going to an IRL situation are very small due to the many different countries and due to the activities that people offer here.

Basically, the seller will pay the amount in crypto to Dave or arun I assume and they will convert it to a stablecoin. They now have a badge of up to the amount they are insured and if they scam the payment will be made from their insurance and they forfeit anything leftover if they do scam (goes into a general scammer fund). The only problem I can foresee with this is with exit scammers. To prevent this there would need to be some type of scripting where a transaction is formally done and there is a pending hold on their verified amount until the transaction is completed. Example:

Selller has $5k verified badge.

Seller - Customer 1 - Pending $600 transaction. Seller approves, customer approves. Seller badge now $4.4k
Seller - Customer 2 - Pending $4400 transaction. Seller approves, customer approves. Seller badge now $0k
Seller - Customer 3 - Pending $500 transaction. Seller approves, customer approves. System notifies customer there is no insurance left, do you wish to still continue?
Seller - Customer 1 - Transaction completed approved by customer. Seller badge now $600.

Somehow off topic but I think bringing back the mpgh escrow system would be useful as well since it prevented or lessened the amount of people getting scammed before.

Sure, this is a nice way to do this, but the MPGH Marketplace has a lot of grey market goods and services, and even illegal ones.

Can I ask why this information needs to be stored at all? Once you're verified, why is it still stored? I hope everyone just takes it into reality that with a simple I.D. you could lose your entire life. It's all it takes and I'm not referring to police. I'm talking about identify theft.

On top of that, IDs can easily be faked. The only way you can verify it is if you were directly partnered with (at least in the U.S.) State agencies. Otherwise you're literally just posting a picture of an ID and with no way to really verify it is kind of pointless. That's just the U.S. too. It's probably so much times more easier in other countries.

Yup even before mpgh have already mm staffs.

Most members are too lazy to settle for mm deals. Hence, the escrow system that used to exist before became some sort of assurance for some sellers and buyers.

Besides, that system also works well for the buyers because their service will always be available 24/7 for their potential customers.
