Hello Artists!

Recently I asked a friend of mine to make me a logo and design the name of my website and he was charging me $45 for it which i think is an overkill for just making a simple logo and the name of the website.

So, I want to know what are the market prices of making a logo and designing the full name of a website so that i get a better understanding of the prices in this field. Depending upon the prices i am looking to hire an Artist for the job.
