yea, they suck.
Have you tried calling them? well i know this doesn't guarantee anything, but calling can help.
Also, how did you pay? did you pay thru paypal? or via bank/card? make a dispute there instead. You have 180 days to dispute the transaction.

I heard someone managed to get their case looked at by calling ebay constantly multiple times asking them to look at it again because he didn't violate their terms, he said after 1 week or so they responded in his favour. he was a seller though in the opposite position. Ebay treats us sellers like shit all the time tbh I hate them so much.
