Why there's no way to see user profile through IM?

I'm tired of scammers who add me cause they see my post on any marketplace post. Been already 4 users who add me with fake names and chat with me the same way, and when I tell them they are scammers, I have no way to see their profile, not even copying the username and pasting it on the search bar, no way to visit profile, no way to access via url. Why? What's wrong with this forum?

I've been for more than 7 years on this forum, and I see a bit pathetic this problem. I read other posts related to the scammers and looks like the staff doesn't care at all.

And it can be worse! Cause in case you get scammed, somehow scammers can delete you from friends/ block you, and I don't know why the entire chat dissapears. You can't see it anymore. There's no way to report it, well yeah, you can report it but the conversation is not avaliable anymore and if you didn't copy the scammers username it's no longer avaliable. What the hell??!?

This last user added me an hour ago Impersonating the real Philomath.

And obviosly, I have no way to check his profile/register date cause when I try to find that on the search bar only real philomath's results appears. Great.





EDIT: Suddenly two icons to see the profile appeared on IM. I'm sure they weren't there before. My bad if they were already there all this time. Still the scammer thing a pain in the *ss.

AND BOOM! He blocked me from all accounts. All chats dissapeared. Nothing ever happened

You can check their profile etc via ^

The main thing is if you visit the seller's thread, you can click on their IM button in their profile to add them and if you've already added them, it'll open up the chat box for the seller. There's honestly no reason why someone should get scammed by an impersonator if they take 3-5 more seconds to check through a few buttons.
