I remember my city issued a curfew because of riots and looting that happened last year. I would go out at night and it was so calm and silent. AnywaysI think curfews isnt very effective towards covid.

In Germany we had these curfews for a while now. Also drinking alcohol in public was prohibited to prevent people from meeting each other late at night.
Apparently it's hard to have fun with your friends when drinking ze bier is verboten

Canada is fucking awful dude, and Quebec is the worst part of it. It's essentially a draconian dictatorship, we just pretend it's not because we have "elections"...but every major party that has a chance of gaining any power all acts the same when it comes to these topics, so does it really matter/make a difference?

Lol if every party has the same policy when it comes to these topics in Canada, it's probably because it's the most popular among citizens. Unless candidates require approval from the Canadian government to run (similar to how China's communist party approves candidates before they can run), pretty sure Canada operates like any old democracy and you just happen to be in the minority. Haven't looked into Canadian politics but I'm going to guess with 99% certainty that there are political parties that are against covid restrictions, they just have such a tiny percent of the vote that they never come into power. Picking up arms to fight majority rule to impose your beliefs on the majority of the civilian populace. What could go wrong?
