Nice omission that Texas is having a higher-than-average temperature wave this year causing people to turn up their A/C. Nice omission that Texas lawmakers passed bills addressing this crisis in February and are continuing to do so, like requiring plants to upgrade their facilities.

But yes, Texas is the American shithole, omit the stuff that's happening in California directly due to leftist policies that's causing people to move from California to Texas in droves.

A leftist will see nothing wrong will California and the impact of terrible leftist policies, but would rather focus on Texas where they're having heat higher than average and are actively trying to do what they can to keep up with the A/C demand that comes with such high heat. Though they're not able to force companies to do this immediately, but the upgrades are planned to complete within 1-2 years. Scaling up energy plants takes a hell of a lot more planning and money than an anthem. You're also going to be dealing with a private party, not the government, so you cannot force a private party to adhere and implement such a high-cost upgrade immediately. They're subject to oversight by our government, but not controlled by them.

The article talks about lawmakers upgrading facilities, but, "The state likely won’t require companies to make weatherization upgrades until 2022 at the earliest."
