USA vs Ghana & England vs Germany

    Saturday:

So USA play Ghana today for a place in the last 16. Both teams have done incredibly well and have progressed much further than anyone anticipated.
Landon Donovan, well what can I say, he is simply world class and arguably the best American player ever. He deserves to play in a Premier League team and not LA Galaxy ( No offence intended).

On the Ghanaian team, they have Asamoah Gyan, Ghana's best striker in the competition, he has a very impressive sprint speed and given the opportunity, can score goals like there is no tomorrow. Just like Donovan, he should be playing in a 5 star Premier League team.

Best of luck to both teams.

    Sunday:

This is it, it's make or break time for England & Germany, one of the fiercest rivalries in world cup history, both teams have gone through a roller-coaster of a ride to get here, Germany first beating Australia 4-0, then losing to Serbia 1-0 and finally beating Ghana 1-0 in the 60th minute.

There's no doubt, the Germans are a fully professional team and have all the experience they need to win this competition. Lahm, Klose, Podolski, Mertesacker and Schweinsteiger. Undoubtedly some of the best players in the world, they are all reaching the height of their game and when they work together are a dominating force against any team.

England have not had an easy ride here either, having being unable to beat a team in the first two matches. The first being USA, which ended 1-1 after a well fought back USA goal, the second was a goalless draw to Algeria. On Wednesday, The English team played Slovenia for a place in the last 16, a match they MUST have won, like they nearly always do, they pulled it out of the bag when it counted. If Capello will only play Gerrard just behind Rooney then Lamard and Milner are free to roam the mid. The problem with England is that sometimes they refuse to work together as a team and then wonder why they lose all the time.

One thing is for certain, this is not going to be an easy match for both teams, they are going to have to give it absolutely everything they have in order to win. The Germans or the English. Who will win?
