Hi, I'm new so I don't know what tools I need in order to learn how to do simple hacks in DF
I wanted to learn how to understand a lot of tools posted in the forum.

What tool should I use and how do I learn about it, would google suffice?
I wanted to learn for learning's sake, after I figure it out I will move to a different game to train and learn how to do it there.

is this activity considered a crime? regardless I still want to do it just to study

in DF 3d specifically what are the things that can cause a player to be banned?
I would assume that money, or exp gain without any traceable history would trigger a ban?

Does it make any difference to test tools in single-player or in multiplayer that can put me on the ban list?

I wanted to create something of a tool to see how does looting system work and not try to manipulate them in any way, if I know how it works, say if it is truly random every time you loot, or it is random and spread out throughout the map instance if it is the second method then having a UI that displays whether or not what you will loot is a money, ammo, weapon/armor would help save up time, so this is more of a quality of life tool than a hack necessarily.

and is what is posted here save from viruses and can be trusted.

Depending on you country, but usually no.

Singler-Player is better cause you dont have to worry about people reporting you.

Is not 100% random when you loot, depending zone, Level and where are you looting (Normal Loot spot or enemy loot)

i can recomend you learn about this on a easier game to mod.

I recommend you find a game with clean instructions cause df is heavy obfuscated.

Okay I have instaled dnspy, and follow your guide from your link, now I understand what is this AoB everyone been mentioning all the time, but all It looks like is like the green text on the matrix.

so how do you know which one does what?
do I use ce to monitor the game as I play and find what value change, after I do multiple scan and find it, check the hex then find it in dnspy? so all the ce use here is to finding the aob value?

say that I want to try this, does opening ce and df at the same time, and have ce scanning the file of df stand alone launcher can trigger a ban?

I'll try this on a different PC just in case, and create a new account, what I need to know however, say that you make multiple ACC but using the same email, does one of the ACC banned cause the other of the same email to be banned as well?

I don't understand df ban system, it is something like a 24-hour ban, do you just go free after that? or it just a warning shot?

Iwhat I don't understand is that the dev can check the DLL and compare the modified ver with the original and if there is any changes to the original DLL the game won't launch or it will call a file replacement from the server if any and have the modified one made original again, If I were the dev this should get your IP on the list, so I have not test if the game runs well with the replaced pre made dll yet.
