In fact she goes on to argue that gay parenting may result in more accepting and socially healthy children.

Let's say we ignore the statistics for a moment and thinking about the children instead. Would you prefer that a child stays in an orphanage as opposed to being brought up by gay parents? If there are no harms to gay parenting then why would this be for any other reason than your own prejudice? I would prefer that both straight and gay couples got to adopt children you know why? Because more children will be adopted... so that more children can grow up feeling like someone loves them instead of sitting in an orphanage just hoping that someone eventually comes along and sees them as worthy.

How would this kid be treated if it had two gay male parents?
which one would he call mum and dad?(sarcasm)
The other parents wouldn't let their children near him.
and they would laugh at his 'parents'
Also,their attitude towards sexes would be onesided.
and I don't think his parents would teach him anything about girls,or boys in case of a lesbian.
They might make that kid into a homosexual,since kids usually copy their parents.

We've moved into an age where too much is "accepted" these days by parents.

Kids need firm parents, not parents that are going to be their friends.
That is stepping out of the role.
Parents are supposed to be role models, guardians, providers,
and friends usually doesn't come until later in life, not saying always but this is usually the case.

Bottom line is Orphans are pretty fucked from the get go.
So yee-ha let's give them a combo shot of angst and provide them with homo parents.
I'm sure there are plenty of kids that turned out fine,
and I'm sure there are plenty that are licking windows somewhere,
or maybe worse. Either way,
it's an unnatural upbringing and I don't agree with it.

A meta analysis isn't a "little statistic", a meta-analysis is by definition an examination of multiple studies.

And the only states currently allowing it in the U.S. are Massachusetts, Connecticut and Iowa, and a few other states.

I personally think that we should continue to progress towards equality. There is supposed to be a separation of church & state. The argument that God doesn't allow it should not apply in this day and age.

What does MPGH think? I know some of you may have adopted your parents ideas and homophobia, but I think we should all evolve past this.

I myself believe it is not a choice, and is caused by hormones in prenatal wombs and a persons actual environment has little to no decision in it. Especially in the USA where homosexuality is hated upon so much, the environment couldn't have an effect because who would choose to group with one of the most (unfortunately) hated groups in society due to religion.

Once it was legalized, I think much of the argument over the subject would be debunked.

I believe homosexuality should be legal everywhere and no, I'm not homosexual. It is my believe that you are not born a homosexual, but could possibly develop into one. I think it starts at a young age and depends on your social environment. Think about this:

Some studies have shown that homosexuals are, more often than not, the one kid who hangs out with mostly the opposite sex when they are at a very young age (Primary School). At such a young age, you learn from and adapt to the way your friends act and socialize. If a boy, for example, hangs out with other boys, they're going to be exposed to the male perspective of females (this girl is cute, or that girl is cute, etc.). When a boy instead hangs out with girls at such an age, they are exposed to the female perspective of males (this boy is cute, that boy is cute, etc.). There is certainly no physical attribute that can be linked to homosexuality (ex. the "gay gene").

Acutally, I became bisexual during middle school, I slowly found out that I was attracted to both genders.

The reason I was attracted to males more than females, is because all my life I was rejected and I never had any luck with females. However, I found myself becoming more welcomed and accepted regardless of my status or looks by gay or bi males.
