IM History / User posts

Hey,

I'm not sure where I should be posting this, I'm basically trying to find who I spoke to last year around September/October...

When I click on my profile and look at posts I can't find any posts by me even though I've got 100+ posts

I've checked all me IM messages and can't find the person so they've cleared their IM friends... It's a problem I raised before that if someone removes you from their friends you lose all of your messages with them...

I suspect I posted on there thread at some point but the search doesn't find any posts from me...

Any help would be appreciated

Search is probably half broken again, your posts will still be there if you can find them through alternative means (e.g. google search). I did find this post on a sales thread from last year if it helps: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthrea...1#post15383462

Unfortunately the issue with IM is still the same. Messages can be viewed again if they re-add you though, so they aren't completely lost. Dave is also able to pull the logs if necessary, but it's usually only done for scam reports and stuff like that.

Search is a pending fix to restore it's full status back to normal. For IM, Dave is aware of that and an update is planned for adding functionality to let users view conversations even if a contact is removed/deleted.

It would be a pretty big improvement to IM when that gets added because I know I've had warranties for services/products and been unable to find out who I was speaking to before because I never remembered their username so couldn't find the messages to re-add them

Yeah it would be handy for everyone pretty sure for a lot of different reasons, myself included. For now if there's something important anyone needs, you can request to get the logs for your conversation with someone and Dave can pull them. Unfortunately, you'll probably have to remember the username though.
