Surprisingly they do. IW was so cheap that they didn't want to remake the game for PC so just took the xbox Xbox features but took a few out (Like LAN).

Another way is to type map mp_rust into the console and then typing killserver once you are in...
It should send you back to the lobby with 18 slots.

simple way to host a game is, the host router must be port forwarded 28960 28961 port..
The host should go into Private match option and be in the lobby..
Give your external ip to your friends. tell your friend to type connect 117.123.123.133 the ip you give in the consol.. and he will be in your lobby and change the game mode and start the game...
To enter the console, run the game in window mode or press ALT+ESC or WINDOWS key + f and you can see the console in the back...
Have fun..

aIW means AlterIWnet. Which is for all the ones that either doesn't want to buy the game from Steam, or doesn't want the Steam ban-policies.

Basically, it allows you to play Modern Warfare 2 without Steam at all.

Does it work if you use cheat engine to force your ping to 0?
The ping is worked out client side and sent to the server... Weird...

i dont understand, so when you use aIW your not even logged on to steam? or its still off steam and same game folder etc but diff server??
