I started..so may as well post mine.

I got a Mac and a PC.


Mac Pro

RAM: 32GB DDR3
HDD: 4x 2TB, one with OS X 10.6.4 and one with 7 Ultimate.
CPU: Dual Quad-Core 2.93 GHz Intel Xeon
GFX: 4x NVIDIA GT 120
MOBO: How the figgles m'I supposed to know..
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.4 on HDD 1 and Windows 7 Ultimate on HDD 2, HDD's 3 & 4 are unallocated


New Mac Pro with 12 Cores ordered, specs are as followed!

2x 2.93 GHz Intel Xeon Westmere 6 Core Processors - 12 CORES!
32GB DDR3 RAM (8x4GB)
3x 2TB Drives, 1x 512GB SSD
Two ATI Radeon HD 5770's 1GB each
4x Apple Cinema HD Displays 30"



Windows PC

RAM: 24GB DDR3
HDD: 4x 2TB, one with Windows 7 Ultimate and the rest unused (unallocated)
CPU: Six-Core Intel Core i7 980x Extreme
GFX: NVIDIA GTX 480 w/DX11
MOBO: EVGA X58 SLI
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate on Hard Drive I
I'd have dual i7 980X but I don't know of any dual-CPU boards that support dual non-server processors (AKA anything but Xeon)

Why macs suck.
If you want to upgrade, New computer! It's not like just changing a processor for a PC or Motherboard! You Need a COMPLETELY New computer! Which Will cost over $1500. If you wanna do those changes in a pc probably $500 max

Note: you can't pair 2x 980x, you have to use Xeons for multi CPU (trust me, if you want detailed description why PM me).

And I an't trollin, this is over 15 thousand I spent :\

But it can get complicated if you have RAM over 12GB and over two cores, and in some cases two cores is very frustrating.

I was planning to not buy a mac and just hack my PC, but all the kernel panics were a living hell

so I Just said fk it and ordered the 8 core Mac
