I often contemplate that myself. I told my mother I wasn't going to have kids so they won't suffer the bitch that is life. You're born, you go to school and learn. You take the knowledge you gain in school and work for 40 years to make a living. The less important your job is, the less money you get paid, the more leisure time you have, but the less money you have to afford something interesting. The more important your job, the more you work and the more you get paid. You have money to buy relatively expensive things but no time to enjoy them. And then you retire, lose interest in those things you've spent an incredible fortune on and never use them again, and then of course, you die. Those that believe in Samsara get to start all over again, but we won't get into that. My brother is an example of someone who makes a ton of money and works all day long and has no time to spend with his girlfriend or to play his video games. He works 10-12 hours a day, sells 4-5 million dollars a year and gets paid about 5% of that. Of course, I never see him because he lives in Mexico, where his company moved him to clean up, raise morale and jump start the offices down there while firing those that are too stupid or don't deserve to be in his presence. One of the things I'll most remember him for are his funny one liners.
Don't breathe on me, I might catch poor.
