Bad question.

D3D is... I believe a library (ugh I'm a noob at this). It allows you to render 3D models and polygons onto your screen to apear 3D. It makes it easier to display 3D worlds, rather than doing some kind of custom math to change 3D chordinates to 2D chordinates, you can let D3D render all your models for you.

BTW D3D stands for Direct 3D I believe.

CPP (C++) is the programing language. It allows you to code programs that would run on your computer. Using CPP you can access D3D, which would allow you to draw 2D Sprites and such or render 3D models/polygons on your computer.

Since this is a game hacking forum, D3D and CPP are the most commonly used terms so I wouldn't blame you for mixing them.




Last time I checked, you only need 1 language to make a program. Honestly, knowing more languages can screw you over. VB and C++ are very different, by learning VB first it took me a while to get used to putting a semi-colon after every command. Also by learning .NET first, it is very difficult to start grasping pointers in CPP for me. I'm still trying to understand how pointers work as in .NET everything is managed with the concept of "Give the programmer as little control as possible".

In this case, what should I learn to make hacks?
Thats all my interest for coding. And Im dedicated to doing this no matter how hard it is

CPP. Long road, beware of the monsters that lurk. Its a long path. Trust me on that one... You really just need to look at some inspiration. Some coders have interesting stories to tell on how they managed to get into coding...

BTW D3D is just a library for CPP, like an add-on I guess. You have to learn it after CPP, or after learning most of the language to get it. Honestly, I've never grasped the whole X,Y,Z clockwise orientation whatever the fuck they use.... So confusing D:

Dude, if you are trying to learn online, here's some helpful advice. Give up. Learning C++ and D3D or any other programming language for that matter is virtually impossible online.

Wrong, I've learned through online and online only. I barely read any books on programing, and most of them I just forgot in around 2 days. Books are virtually useless. And since I'm already in a bit on programming, classes will bore me till they eventually reach a point to where I don't understand, and at that point I would be confused as the class would most likely poorly explain things.

Visual Studio Professional. Otherwise I would say Visual C++ Express. Other then that I guess Borland's compiler is pretty good.

I don't code CPP so you might want to ask some other guys who pwn me epicly in programing in CPP.
