Can i suggest not using an online guide? They're all useless imo and if you REALLY want to learn, you need to buy a big ass book.

Suggestions:
C++ Primer Plus
Sam's Teach Yourself C++ In 21 Days
Sam's Teach Yourself C++ In One Hour a Day
Accelerated C++

You should read through them and do the exercise's twice.
If you don't have the money to buy one of these book's, get a job. If you're too young to be able to get a job, then give up on learning C++ and Coding Hacks. Because most 12 year old's are just little C+P'ers.

You should be able to find most of those books in a local bookshop in the Programming section. The only exception is that it would be a good idea to learn DirectX online. It's just easier.

However you could buy
Beginner Game Programming for Dummies, I think it is.
