Ermmm, nice, but a bit unneccessary. You don know D3D provides interfaces to generate textures from files? D3DXCreateTextureFromFile Function (Windows)
I think the only time you need to create Textures like that is for chams, and there might be a way to make chams without doing that too, but I've never looked to far into it.
