whats with you and niggas? nope the first one was much better , the render and the brushes arenot blinding well , see u can know where the render started to appear , it needs more blending maybe try to copy a part of the render and smudge it a lil bit to blend into the brushes and give it a lil more greyish color than the solid black

never said the first one wasn't better.

i just said i got the brushes right.

and i had to render that from a stock photo and try to blend it with black brushes

don't just assume i found a render and put brushes.

He didn't say the first one was better to be rude...he's being honest.
And I didn't see anything in his post that said he assumed simplicity.
And he's right, the render (it's still a render, because you cut it out of the stock) does need to blend with the brushes more. It's not a very smooth transition.
What you could do though, is put the render on top, and put a transparent/black gradient over it as a clipping mask. That way, the head is still visible, but the render darkens into the brushes, if that makes sense.
Then it will look more like he's part of the splatters. I assume that's what you were going for.

I dunno man..like everything about it just..very simple.
I would try doing something to it to give it some style.
Stuff like this goes well with textures,
Try maybe mixing up some dope colors,
and add some different elements for effects.
Like..I'm picturing some pencil doodles around it or some shit.
