for the collouring u should have added a gradient it may sound cheap but if you clip it and give it a orange to black with a round gradient then the correct layer style it looks awesome i swear... but since it painting this is awesome as well

strange that u see much more on the black ''n white one then the colour full one.

adding a gradient will simply ruin the texture i did every thing -for coloring- with lasso tool , bucket tool , brushes and hard rounded brush on 85% strength for smudging
u add a color and then blend it in with the other colors
if u mean i add a gradient instead of bucketing well that will definitely wreck my color control over the canvas

did happen yesterday that the gradient fucked up ma drawing but a simple blur fixed it...luckely all my renders have those so i have become a gradwhore.
