Hey! I'm from the Netherlands aswell! And if you guys want to know, I recently converted to Islam last Ramadan on the 15th of August 2010.
The first post was amusing though, all these verses quoted out of context.
Exodus 21:15 (King James Version): "And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death."
And there is more like that, omg the Bible is evil, may god forbid.
Anyway I notice people bashing Islam all the time, but I never see Muslims bashing other religions, so why is that people continue to put Islam in a negative perspective? Is it perhaps that they are confronted with truth which makes them afraid? Or is Sheytaan (Satan) having a hand in this so that they reject their own God.
Allah says in the Q'uran in Surah Al-Ankaboot Chapter 29:45: "And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender."

Check out how some christians like to qoute out of context..
And I keep saying this, our god are one. and they still blasphemy on Allah's name.
yet they do not know they blasphemy there own God.
That is your belief.
If you've actually thoroughly studied Christianity,
and I mean diligent study,
then you would understand why we believe what we believe.
Btw, you said you would take a break from this,
yet you continue to just keep pressing on,
Don't you even realize that every time you make accusations that the Bible is altered, that every time you say that Jesus is just a servant,
That every time you yourself take things out of context in the book,
that maybe you're also offending Christians?
Have you ever stopped to think about that before you post?
Please man, just stop playing the victim
and acting like all Christians do is bash Islam.
Difference between you and I is this:
I'm trying to understand the other side of Islam past the media.
You don't care to understand anything about Christians.
All you want to do is keep plugging a long your own beliefs,
while tossing in as many low blows as you can.

I think he speaks of the main stream and not trying to offend Christians, but if you say Jesus is a prophet there should be nothing wrong with that. Because if you take the original new testament (greek language) and you translate the world they translated as son. Then you also find this word also means: servant. And the bible has got sons by the tongue, Abraham is called son of god, it says in the bible: All who are led by the spirit of God, they are sons of God. And then most of the Christians they quote Ghosphel of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (King James Version) . Christian scholars of the highest rank, they say that this word begotten is a fabrication and they delete it from the bible.(Standard Revised Version)
So when we say Jesus pbuh is a son of God in the context of he is a messenger of God someone who is led by god we do not mean to insult Christians we try to show them our vieuw on the Christ. The message we believe is sent to us by God, that Jesus pbuh is a messenger of God.
No offense, but I've already talked about this all with Visible and other Muslims over 100 times.
It's been an object of speculation for a very long time..
Does it really effect what we believe?
No..not really.
Many of the current handbooks on Greek syntax state that monogenes should not be translated as only begotten. [1] Instead, they take the word to mean only or unique. If this were true, the translation of the KJV would not be alone in its "error" for this is the translation of the New American Standard Version, the New King James Version, and several other translations of the twentieth century.
The real issue here JW is that Greek has many words for a single English word.
So it could have been a simple transliteration made by the original transcribers on the KJV. Not entirely sure tbh..there are soo many theories reguarding John 3:16.
All in all though, it's not important. The message is still there.
