I finished installing crossfire to find out that it looked weird. I then clicked on start game to be met by an error

I believe your host file is blocking connection to z8games/crossfire sites. Also it is unable to patch because your version.ini is corrupted. Redownload the game and reinstall from the site. I will try to see what I can do for you in the mean time.

It happen to me some time. Wait some dayz and it'll be fixed

You can also go to the Crossfire folder and double click patcher_cf. CF will automatically launch w/o the Launcher. It will lead you to the patcher. Thank me
