This thread will show how people can simply change a quran verse into a quran "satanic verse".

Im sick of people /Non Muslim\ Translating "Idol worshippers" as "Jews or Christians", if you dont speak Arabic then dont comment on how the Quran is written. if you do, then you well know "kafir" means pagans. i.e Idol worshippers.

I personally LOVE these 2 verses because it tells us to befriend all people, but what other religions translate only /[60:9]\ without showing /[60:8]\.

[2:191] You may kill those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers.

Once again, how people translate it as /"Kill the disbelievers"\ without showing the whole verse...it makes sense to retaliate.

[3:151] We will throw terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, since they set up besides GOD powerless idols. Their destiny is Hell; what a miserable abode for the transgressors!

/"We"\ in arabic is singular for /"I"\ throwing terror into the hearts of disbelievers = Hell fire. and this is a reward for disbelieving in God, what do you expect a party for you in Heaven? Many people translate this as /"[3:151] throw terror into the hearts of disbelievers"\ but not the whole verse.

[4:89] They wish that you disbelieve as they have disbelieved, then you become equal. Do not consider them friends, unless they mobilize along with you in the cause of GOD. If they turn against you, you shall fight them, and you may kill them when you encounter them in war. You shall not accept them as friends, or allies.

This is talking about /WAR\ not streets, this verse informs us not to trust soldiers of the opposed army in religious war as they want you to believe what they believe, read how it says /"Kill them when you encounter them in WAR"\.


Conclusion:

I can gather much more, but /LISTEN\ Allah uses the word "HELL" many times in the Quran because of His love for his people, and he is warning us that if we don't follow the creed. the creed wont follow us. hell is your destiny.

Yeah your missing the point, his authority on the subject is just as much as the guy who misquotes it.

All in all, you have to agree with what he says, which in all fairness, it should be your own interpretation, no one else's.

I can interpret it to mean godzilla is awesome, its all really just relying on the person who said it.

And since the person is visible(of all people), i wouldn't trust the guy. He of all people on this section has the least credibility.

Well I would still trust his interpretation of his religion more than that of whatever you may be, Empire (?).

Oh i thought your on about the qouting of quran, yusuf qoutes the Quran in English.
