If you want a gaming PC, get a desktop. If you get a gaming laptop you'll have to play next to an outlet anyway. You got a microcenter, you can build one that meets your needs. And it would be cheaper. $50 case, i5-750, an ASUS MOBO, a gtx 460, $20 DVD drive, $45 HDD, some artic silver 5 compound, a power supply, 4 GB of ram and voila. That machine will cost around $785 and run circles over that HP. A decent monitor and a keyboard/mouse later you got the same price but a much better machine.

Why waste money on some thermal compound if you don't even get a good heatsink? Stock should do fine, drop the Asus for practically any mid range gigabyte. And for the gfx cards wait a bit longer, the 500 series is coming out => 400 series gonna have a price drop. And get a hybrid hdd for like $150
