AlterIWnet is a free version of MW2, and far better then steams.
Comes with all map packs, and bonus maps like overgrown.
You can not get banned for hosting/playing mods, there is no lag, there are dedicated servers, in game console, zombie modes, fucking everything.
Theres staff who play actively, and mods like gun game, sharpshooter, one in the chamber etc.
