Hey everyone. I just put a custom skin on my scar. But when I try to find a match it takes forever. And once it finally joins a game and it starts up it says my files are different from the server. Can I fix this?

You did not do the hex editing/CRC fixing right. Delete your modded IWI, make sure the modded DDS is saved right, then re convert it and do the Hex/CRC fixing again.

Do I have to do that for camos? I remember only having to drag and replace with those but I'm not sure

uhm... Yes?

If you use 0rbit's IWI fixer it will go a little quicker, but for any image file that you modify, (any IWI) you have to fix its CRC hash in order to get it to work in game. Regardless. Did you read the "how to make custom camos" thread?
