    What are great PC brands for custom building?

    wut? Ther are good and bad brands for all the parts in it.

    But for me it would be
    Case: NZXT, Corsair, or silverstone
    CPU: Intel or AMD obviously. I like AMD because its a helluva lot more affordable, as well as practical.
    GPU: ATI or nVidia. Same as above, ATI for price and practical use.
    Motherboard: Asus, or gigabyte have worked well for me for a long time.
    RAM: Corsair Is great, and I want to sat G.Skill, but Ive been having problems with mine lately.
    PSU: Corsair again. Silverstone is also good.
    Cooling: Xigmatec, or zalman. I am looking at that Corsair self contained water cooling thing too, and it looks tight as hell.

    And thats pretty much it.

    you build a pc of good updated parts = 1,000

    you get a factory/company/retail to do it for you it will cost 2,000 total..
    now half of that is labour money.. this way you save money and learn about new parts/experiences.
