Dear Central Command,

I’m a soldier with the UAF. Until recently, I thought I had everything I ever wanted. Great mercenary friends, fancy camo, big, powerful weapons, and a huge backpack…but something is missing. Last week, alone in the bushes of Dark Forest in the middle of the night, avoiding the explosions caused by flying debris and occasional aerial attack, it dawned on me. I want to keep in touch with my mercenary friends while they’re in battle! I want to show them what I’m up to, and how I’m becoming a better soldier …mostly I just want to show them all what a well-rounded badass I am. What should I do?

DISTRESSED? Get it together soldier, this isn't the ice-capades! For 1/19, Central Command is bringing you a Note System, a new addition to the messenger system, and in-game achievements. Of course, that’s not all. They’re also sending you brand new sniper rifles, the TRG-21 and the TRG-SE, so you can continue your quest to be the ultimate fighter. Now get back to the field, on the double!

New System Update: Notes System

For those soldiers who prefer old-fashioned mail to get their point across, consider the Note System! This system allows players to compose notes, send them, and receive them in their Incoming Notes box. Find it next to your messenger tab in-game.

New Feature: Achievements

A good soldier knows when to be silent and deadly, and when to show off his expert skills in the field. Now, with in-game achievements, soldiers can be classy and prideful about their Combat Arms accomplishments! Find your achievements, as well as those of your fellow soldiers, in your Player Profile Tab. Now get cracking and collect those medals!

Bug Fixes

Due to a technical error, the MP5A4 (GP) was available in the Shop for an incorrect price on January 12th. GP was refunded and the MP5A4 weapons were removed from inventories.
NPC’s in Desert Fox now path better to their targets.
Elite Moderators of Fireteam matches can now kick players beyond the Fireteam Hot-Joining time limit.
Fireteam and Rec Rules stats now appear correctly when viewing a player’s stats through the Clan tab.
Players can no longer hop onto the Seize and Secure flagpole in Death Room.
Planting mines in certain locations will no longer cause game rooms to crash.
Heartbeat Sensors and Detectors will automatically turn off if active when a player transforms into an Infected or Super Spy in Super Soldier mode.
Rounds fired while reloading the M1866 now properly deal damage.
