IDEAS NEEDED FOR MPGH DESKTOP APP NAO !!!

Hi !

I completed my first semester and now I am free for sometime. So, I am creating a complete replica of MPGH as a desktop application. I have completed the base work of parsing threads and profile pages etc. Now, I am going to work on layout and functionality of the application. I can almost control every visual and dynamic element of the thread / profile pages, so I can represent it in any form.

Some of the things I had planned are:
■ Merging social community functionality with-in MPGH.
■ Giving complete control of every visual element to end user so he / she can customize it with their own taste.
■ Making a scripting language so each user can write plugins and make the application better by implementing his own ideas.
■ Developing a system that will make all threads available offline with everything intact [Just like hibernation].
■ Anti-spam and anti-flaming engine.
■ Enforcing site rules in more effective way.

And many more...

If you have some ideas, please do post them.

If you think this is a fail idea, then I don't care. I am going to make this anyways.

Here's a screenshot the data I parsed directly from MPGH. It's just a test and it will change with more ideas.

Serious thread is serious. Only ideas / suggestions please.

I like the idea, it has been a thought for a long time and I am glad to see some initiative.

First, I thing would be a enhanced UI as a great idea, currently it has a similar look and feel to MPGH, which means it holds no different then MPGH as is.

So for better UI experience and to separate it from MPGH.net as is, I would suggest.

~Left Side Bar, similar to outlook to house UserCP tools.
~Top Navigation will house a Toolbar with images and section names.
~Menu bar below with sub sections.
~A notification icon that blinks when there is a notification, when you click it there will be a sub menu listing notifications, clicking a x by the notification will remove it.

I think it is on it's way to becoming a great application and would love to work on completing the project. @msn when you get a chance.

As of now it looks like a desktop version of MPGH, but with Ideas and suggestions it will be much more, I am going to be working on a ADMIN portal for Minions + which will allow for easy access to all features and much more, it will also help simplify alot of tasks.

I know Hassan has a lot of ideas, and any more that you can share with him will only help increase your User Experience.
