Why would I need to give the address. All you have to do is bind cg_drawFPS 0 and cg_drawFPS 1 and scan those values by switching show FPS on and off. Not that hard.

No it doesn't. You just need to scan until you only have like 100 addresses left(1000 if you are in a hurry). Then just try to change the value of the addresses and see what happens. If nothing happens it is the wrong address, but if something did happen then you found the right address.
For example I found the cg_drawGun without binding it to a key because I just searched for 1 and then changed the values until I found the right address.

but what does drawgun do exactly?

It draws the gun?
If it is at 1 then you can see the gun you are holding.
If it is at 0 then the gun is invisible.
